Migrating a machine from Win2000 AS to XP

I have a machine that is about 4 or 5 years old. It came installed with
Windows 2000 Advanced Server on it. However, the machine isn't used as a
server anymore. It's just a desktop machine and I'd like to put XP Pro on it.

So, I'm looking for some advice. I know the hard drives (there are 4 each
at 40GB) are connected via SCSI. I tried to use a boot disk, but I can't
access the C drive. Therefore I can't format C and start from scratch. Any
ideas? Thanks!

I'm just hearing how Dave is swearing and cursing. Wait until he'll find
this post or search thru NGs and ..win2000.setup in particular.

I think you need to press F6 at the start of the XP install to get scsi
driver install options

Yes, however once I install what I think is the correct scsi driver, it still
doesn't work. I get to a point in the install where it says "waiting to
start xp" but it hangs there and never continues past. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Jeff

Apparently, I was using the wrong driver. Even though I know it's ARO-1302,
when I used the ARO-1130 driver, everything worked fine.

Thanks again,

Jeff
