?Migrate email accounts in OL2003 - how?

Where are you migrating from & to? You can try using the Office 2003 Save My
Settings Wizard and/or XP's File & Settings Transfer Wizard.

I need to migrate email accounts from Outlook XP to Outlook 2003, and from
Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2003. Email accounts only and contacts only. No pst
message files.

Your contacts are in the PST along with mail and the rest of your Outlook
data (calendars, etc). I'd try using the Wizards I mentioned previously.
They work pretty well for me.
 
I understand the PST and its content. Assume I do not want the PST or its
content.
Let me reformulate the problme.
I just want to setup 10 computers with installed Outlook 2003 with the same
set of 12 email accounts. Wizzards can't deal with this.

Also as another issue: once I import a PST file from OL2002 to OL2003 and
set it to be the email receiving file - OL dutyfully goes to server and
downloads all the email (which already is in the just transferred pst file)
creating kilos of dupes. Is ther any way to avoid this?

You can't get the Contacts without a PST unless you export them to a CSV
file and import from that, since the Contacts are IN the PST. No PST, no
Contacts.

But Outlook Profiler in the Outlook Resource Kit can, I think.

Do not import. Use File>Open. Importing loses information.

What type of server?

1. RE: transfer vs. open - Well the OL2002 is the old format (no Unicode),
but OL2003 is Unicode. If I OPEN than I still have the old format. What
information is being lost in transfer?

Distribution Lists and linkages between Contacts and Calendar (like
birthdays) do not import.

The information about which messages have been downloaded and which have not
is not kept in the PST so that there's no way for each PC to know that
they've been downloaded. My opinion is that a duplicate eliminator (there
are several available on the internet for Outlook and they're not expensive)
may be a worthwhile investment.
