I would like to migrate my Office 2007 and IE7 settings from one Vista
Machine to another. I've briefly reviewed the documentation for the User
State Migration Tool 3, however it seems that this is for WindowsXP to
Vista.

I'm not worried about migrating data files or other applications.

Will USMT 3 do this?

Set your account up on the new machine

How to import PST file into Outlook..
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070

Favorites can be copied over easily enough

I guess I'm looking for more than that. Word, Excel, Outlook, IE settings -
views, configurations.

As I recall, Office 2003 had a way to save all these setting that could be
used to transfer these to a new workstation. However I don't see that Office
2007 has this capability.

Office 2007 does not have a save settings or import settings
Using any transfer settings in eg a winxp to Vista with Office nearly
allways causes Office probs
