When driving in the city I get colored triangles, squares, and bars flashing
around on screen. If I hit the thru way or less cluttered areas it is fine. I
have no problem if I use software rendering but it looks deplorable. The
video card is an nvdia g4mx440 with the 53.03 drivers. I've tried about all
the diff. combos of settings in the game and from nvidia. The only one I
haven't tried is hopefully the one someone here has.

Mike,
You may not have an EVGA card but EVGA has posted a driver that will
work with your card and may fix the problem you are seeing. Try downloading
the driver from: ftp://evga.com/5656XP_WHQL.exe

If for some reason these cause you a problem just roll back to 53.03 and you
are no worse for wear. Please reply to this thread with your results.

This has always been a problem with the game and is resolved in a patch
which you can download on the Midtown Madness homepage.
The issue can usually be resolved in the original version by turning
pedestrians off.
