Sometimes when we receive a message it is accompanied by
a nice tune which we would like to save and use
again,Without the message .
Does anyone know if and how it can be saved?
Failing that is there a site with (free)Midis that can be
used as background music.

I guess you're using outlook express?

If you see a paper clip on the right side of the
message, that means you have an attachment
and you can left click the paper clip and choose
save attachments.

If you do not see the paper clip you can left
click / select the message and left click your
Forward Button. The midi should show on
the new message window as an attachment.

Then you can left click / drag it to your desktop.

Also if you use MusicRobot to search you can
find tons of midi files to download.

The methods I posted for you will work,
I guess I just did not explain it clearly.

As for *MusicRobot*...go to the following site:

http://www.musicrobot.com/

Just below "Let MIDI Explorer find your files"
you will see an address bar.

Just as a test...type in:

Happy Birthday

Press your Enter key.

The next screen should say:

1. "Happy Birthday"
28birthday.mid
714 MIDI files with 138 different lengths

Left click it....

On the next screen, left click #1 again.
"Keyboard Treasures"
"Happy Birthday"

Now you will be at the following site:

http://www.talltexian.com/TALLTEXIANsOLDGoldenOldies/id18.htm

There is a long list of Midi files and all you
have to do to down load them is...
Right Click / Save Target as...
