Midi not working on Windows Media Player

I have wmp v. 9.00.00.3128, and I run it under windows XP
professional.

I have a problem with playing midis: I don't hear any
sound, while I do hear sound when I play other file
formats. Please help me!

I have a smililar problem. Also, believe it is my
WMP. Cannot hear Midi files either on my web page or
from my computer. This is something that's occured in
the past week. I checked to ensure that "Midi" is enabled
and it is.

I'm at a loss. Also redownloaded and installed WMP. --
Still not able to hear Midi files.

Tried as you suggested. No luck. Mid & Midi files were
recognized. FWIW, WMP presents itself as if playing my
Mid/Midi files, just nothing comes out my speakers. All
other types of files play OK. And, MidMidi files play Ok
using iTunes. This really bugs me because it did work up
until about 7 to 10 days ago.
