Midi Files Won't Play from Websites Anymore

I have my own website where I put midi files on it.
Until a few days ago it worked fine on my computer.

Now all I get is a empty box on my webpages but other
computer users can hear the music I have selected and I
cannot. They do not get the empty box on the webpages.

I have also checked other sites that have midi music and
I cannot hear the music anymore like I use to.

I tried to contact technical support with HP and they
won't even reply to my question.

I use Windows XP. All updates are current.

Any help someone can give me would be greatly
appreciated. It makes it kind of difficult to view your
website when things don't work and have to call others to
see if it is working properly.

I was experiencing the identical problem until I noticed that the MIDI settings under Volume Control had somehow switched to "mute". I'm the only person who uses my computer and definitely didn't make the change soperhaps it's just one of the things. At any rate, I unchecked "mute" and the problem went away. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, since rebuilding my hard drive I
lost the ability to hear midi music. I have Windows Media
Player 9, Real Player 10 and MUSICMATCH Jukebox 7 on my
computer and none of them can play a midi. If you find
the answer please share. Thanks, sarge
