midi files no longer plays in my xp home edition

....i have upgraded from win98se to winxp home edition. My
midi files i have accumulated thru time cant be played by
windows media player???....whats wrong????...pls
help!!!..much thanks!!!

try downloading and updating new mdia player from
microsoft webpage
