middle button Like Mozilla

In mozilla opera netscape and some other browsers it is possible to open a
new browser window when you click on a link with the middle mouse button. Is
there a way to do this on IE?
I know thw SHIFT- click combination does this, but I want to do it with the
mouse...

any ideas?

Try checking in your mouse settings in control panel as I have a Microsoft
mouse and it has a option to set the wheel to open a new window when use it
like a button. So depending on your mouse software you may have the same
option.
