.mid files

For some reason my computer will not play .mid files that
I have found on people's websites. When I visit the site
I am suppose to hear music playing, but no such luck. I
know a lot of people wouldn't complain, but I am looking
for a way to fix it. I have media player and real 1. I
can hear MP3 files perfectly. Thanks!

Start > Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices > Audio > make sure you have
a default midi device selected that refers to your sound card > Apply > OK >
re-boot and it should be OK.

You could also update your sound card drivers, make sure they are XP
specific.
