If you are updating to a newer version of Money you should have no
problems. Money will convert your data, but you will not then be able to
revert to the older version.
If you are re-installing the version of Money you currently use, the
first time you run Money under Vista you need to right click on the
shortcut you use to start Money and select "Run as administrator": this
will let Money apply any necessary updates. This need be done the first
time only.
Your Money data file must not be in the default Program Files area. Be
sure to put in your User area. If it is in the Program Files area,
changes and updates to your data will not be saved.
