Microtek 3700 and XP Home

Has anyone had any luck getting the Microtek ScanMaker 3700 to
function under Win XP Home? Microtek's web site offers what they
claim are drivers for XP for this scanner and they install fine but
still don't detect the scanner. Cables are good and XP picks it up
when it is turned on but that's it, SCSI still can't detect it. The
scanner functioned beautifully under Win 98 for over 3 years.

Have you tried installing ASPI?
http://download.adaptec.com/software_pc/aspi/aspi_471a2.exe

XP did not include the aspi layer.
