Need I say more, have used Linux that makes more sense and easier to use and
I hate Linux.

Well, if you still feel strongly about it, try Windows Sentiments and submit
some ideas of your own :o) They're always happy to hear people's ideas.

It would be unprofitable for the Windows team to build a Linux
Distro because enough copies wouldn't be sold to cover costs. Because of the
size of any Windows distribution any security flaws or openings have a much
broader effect.

Reading this group while waiting for Vista CPP is very
reminiscent of the x64 CPP group before x64 was released. This is a beta
release but everybody expects it to be a fully complete final operating
system. No matter how much testing is performed with test stations before
release, it's not complete until testing is performed publicly with many
unknown variables added. The best approach is to research as fully as
possible, then test to find what works or doesn't work. If a flaw is found
determine if its operating system, software, hardware or driver related if
possible before blaming the operating system as the flaw.

A classic example is an old DOS game called Brix, it could still be played
with Windows 98 but Windows 2000 or XP couldn't be slowed down enough for
the game to function. The processing speeds and amounts of data being moved
at a time are constantly increasing so the operating system has to evolve to
keep up with current needs.

I always thought the Program Manager in Windows 3.1 was a communistic boxed
in experience. Installing hardware and software was pretty much playing
Russian roulette with your data. There wasn't a device driver framework in
place, which means, anybody could write drivers for any hardware with the
guarantee of it making the system unstable. Installing it was a PITA, and
did I say the UI is ugly?

maybe you should go back to using win 3.1 if you are unable to keep up with
changing technologies

Well, you are not saying anything here. The sky is a big disappointment.
Linux is a big disappointment. You're not really saying anything.

Windows Vista is, quite frankly, quite fantastic and will make many a
computer owner quite happy. It comes with a host of new features .. perhaps
not as many as originally planned .. but nevertheless, a whole bunch of new
programs, updates to programs, schemes, new ways of doing things, a new
browser, new media player [which many people think is really good], and so
on. And it should computing "safer" - which is probably a good thing.

"Ease of use" should be improved significantly too in upcoming builds so ..

... so while you might be disappointed now, others will not be - not in the
least - later.
