I do not think microsoft do much when it comes to dail up user.

There been alot of updates for windows xp for me.

God knows how long these take on dail up?
 
Find out which updates you need and then download them onto a disc/usb drive using someone elses Broadband connection?

Can you do that? I've always just updated XP 'live' and if I do a fresh install do it all again.

It would be handy to store all the updates.

Whereabouts are they then? Save me all that searching and gissa link ;)

Yup ... but MS has changed their "site" layout, so you need to hunt around for them ... here are some to start you off with. :D

Last link looks good, I shall try it later.

First link just ends up at online update, which I was trying to avoid.

I shall report back later in the day when I have more time. Right now have lots of accounting to do :(
