I went to print something today and one of my printers is now the
Microsoft XPS Document Writer?

Did I get this from an update? I found this web page:

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/xps/viewxps.mspx

but it doesn't really say where the Microsoft XPS Document Writer came
from or what it really is? Is it M$'s answer to .pdf?

Have Microsoft Office installed?

I saved a test "print" as Test.xps and I can open it in Internet
Explorer. It looks like a .pdf file, sort of.

When I double left mouse click on the file, it opens my default web
browser (SeaMonkey) and it looks for a program called XPSViewer which I
don't have installed.

Doesn't appear to have anything to do with M$ Office.
