Just bought a computer over the weekend with Windows XP
installed. Always believed that Microsoft software
products would read files from earlier software programs
but am finding that isn't true. I have many files on
floppies that were created from my old machine (Windows
98 and Office) that I can not access. Question: Is there
another program like Windows XP Office or others that I
can install so my new computer will read the old files?
Please offer any suggestions that will help. Thought I
would be computing today but find myself dead in the
water. The old machine broke down so I decided to
upgrade computers but didn't understand the problems I
would encounter.
Thanks
