can anyone tell me haow to make a line chart ? i read the
wizard 10 times , but that doesn 't help . I need help .

The OP asked about MS Works. I just discovered that my laptop came with
Works bundled on it, so I opened up the Works Spreadsheet app. Works is
kind of like Excel's baby brother, still in diapers even. The
capabilities are very limited, but the wizards seem to hold your hand
through the process.

MS Works, creating a chart:

1. Set up the data range. If you have X values or category labels, put
them in a column just to the left of the Y values. If you have series
labels, put them in the row at the top of the data. Leave the cell above
the X values blank. (Same as for Excel, huh!)

2. Select the entire range of data. (Excel would let you select a single
cell in the range, or select a blank cell and fill it the source data
range later.)

3. Click on the New Chart button, or select Create New Chart from the
Tools menu. (Like Excel.)

4. Select what you need from the Basic Options and Advanced Options of
the Create New Chart dialog (I'd hesitate to call it a "Wizard").

At the risk of offending the OP, I'd add one more:

5. Ditch Works and upgrade to Excel.

Oh, I thought the subject line was a comment, not a program name. <g>
Thanks for answering the OP's question!
