HELP! Due to PC problems I had to use my product recovery
disk. While this resolved the problem, for some reason
Microsoft word did not return in the software programs.
Can I download Word from a site and if not, how do I
resolve this. Thank You.

Hi Barry,

Sounds like you purchased the software with the computer (Product Recovery
Disk). The Word software should either be on that disk, or some other disk
that you were provided with when you purchased the computer and the product
key that you will need to re-install the software would have been on a
Certificate of Authenticity that was also supplied.

You may need to contact the supplier of the computer if you have misplaced
any of these things.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

This happened to me 2 yrs ago. I had a Compaq with
Word. There were 2 recovery CDs, and Word was on the 2nd.
The first CD came with the computer, the 2nd with Word you
had to order for $10.

True, but that's a very expensive subscription, and I dare say used by a
negligible percentage of Microsoft's customers.

Agreed; reply posted only in the interests of 100% accuracy. <g>
