microsoft word

when I try to open word , for some reason it prepares to
install half way through it quits and tells me to insert
microsoft office xp professional cd I've used microsoft
word before and can't understand why it is diong this. And
is there a way to reinstall it online free of charge?

Where did you get Word? Do you have the install CD?

Microsoft Word is not and has never been a part of the Windows operating
software, and is not free. To get MSWord you will need to purchase it,
usually as part of the MS Office group.
