I went to task launcher and choose a format for a resume, then typed
it in Word and sent it to a file. It is not a PDF file so I can't send
it anywhere. I can't pull it to adobe reader to convert to PDF and I
can't send it to any job apps. What do I do?

If I'm not mistaken, most employers and web sites that take resumes
prefer to get a Microsoft Word .doc file.

However, if you want to create a pdf file, you need an application
with that capability. Adobe *Reader* does not do it, as its name
suggests, and as you found out. If you want to use Adobe's product,
you need Adobe Acrobat (which is not free).

You don't say what version of Word you're using. If it's Word 2007,
Word can save a document as a pdf file if you install this free
download:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...3C-6D89-4F15-991B-63B07BA5F2E5&displaylang=en
or http://tinyurl.com/yqpa7b

Otherwise, you'll need to acquire one of the several available
pdf-creation programs, such as this one
http://www.pdf995.com/download.html or this one
