You can buy it.

The least expensive way to get Microsoft Word, unless you are eligible
to purchase the Academic versions of Microsoft Office, is to purchase
Microsoft Works Suite.

Microsoft Works Suite is different from Microsoft Works, and one of
the major differences is that it uses Microsoft Word as the word
processing component instead of the Microsoft Works word processor.

Good luck

Word is commercial software for sale. It is not legally available
for downloading.

All versions of Word starting with Word 95 will run on WIndows
XP, whether Home or Professional.

You normally BUY Microsoft Word - you don't "download" it! Go to your
nearest store and open your purse/wallet - whatever!
