Hi. A few weeks ago, when I clicked on New Word Document, or any other time I
started a new word document, writing would come up on my page. It was an
essay that I typed the day before, and it always shows up when I try and get
a new word document. the settings always are always the same as the settings
i put for that essay.
how do i get a new clean work document without reinstalling microsoft word,
and without changing the settings everytime i try and start a new word
document?

Reinstalling wont help;
search, to include hidden, for normal.dot, delete all instances.
Word will create a new file when its next opened - its the default blank
template word file

You've saved that document as "normal.dot". Shut down Word., locate the
normal.dot and rename it. You're done.
