I have remote users connecting into a Windows 2000 sp4 server. When
the user with standard authentication privelages tries to use Word
2002(sp2) they are not able to save or save as. When you click on
either one no box comes up to finish the saving process. This user
can also make folders and files anywhere on the harddrive that they
want.

Later when you log on as an administrator and make the above account a
member of domain admins and relog on the save and save as features
work just fine. I don't know what I could be overlooking.

Since both programs are up to date on patches and service packs there
isn't one I can apply to try and correct this issue. Does anyone have
any ideas?

Thank you in advance

This sounds like your users don't have priveleges to write to the
directories they are trying to save the files to.

No, as stated in my article above, permission are not an issue because
they can write and create folders anywhere are the hard drive. I
really do not think this is a permission issue.

Any other ideas?
