I there a program I can use to insert New symbols into Microsoft Word
2000?

The insert symbol function in word 2000 gets its symbols from installed
fonts. So a simple solution would be to add some dingbat fonts (fonts with
images/symbols in stead of characters) to your font map in you
systemdirectory

Or do you mean something else (if so, please explane)
