Ask whoever told you this for more details. Some OEM's include a simple
tutorial and there is a very basic introduction to XP in the operating
system - which may or may not have been included if you have an OEM
install.

The best place to look for tutorials for MS products is on the MS
website for that particular product. For instance, there is a wealth of
information about MS Office programs - including how-to's, step-by-step
videos, etc. - accessible from the MS Office website.

Since you weren't specific about what you need to learn, spend some time
looking on the MS website. Here are just a few general links to get you
started:

there is no built-in tutorial, but there is a tour:
windows\system32\tourstart.exe

MS has several different "series" of books, targeted at beginners to
experts; the "step by step" series is for beginners, look at the Win XP
Step by Step book. XP for Dummies is probably also at about the same
level.

The "best" overall book (IMO) is "MS Win XP Inside Out: Second Edition",
be Ed Bott et al. It's packed w/ info and assumes you're not a beginner.

I've never looked, but I bet if you google for "XP Tutorial" you'll find
something out there...
