Dear All,

I run a Client/Server network with Win2k Advanced server. The problem I have
is that when I browse the network through My Network Places I can only see
the server and no other machines attached to the server. This happens from
both the server and the clients.

It is important that the clients are browsable otherwise I cannot deploy
Sophos Antivirus properly. Please can someone advise me on how to resolve
this issue.

Many Thanks,

John

Are you running WINS?

Yes im running WINS

Could be that your clients are not registering with WINS. If
you don't have a WINS server on each subnet, The clients need
to be set up with the address of a WINS server(s). This can be
done through DHCP or through advanced TCP/IP settings on each
client.

You can run netdiag.exe

to test WINS connectivity.
