Microsoft VM missing

I cannot access an FTP site requiring Java.
Subsequently, I discovered that the "Microsoft VM" option
and its sub-options are missing in "Tools>Internet
Options>Advanced".
I tried to re-install Internet Explorer 6, but it didn't
fix the problem.
I need help. thanks for any information, sincerely,

Due to a legal settlement between Microsoft and Sun Microsystems, Microsoft ceased supplying their version of Virtual Machine for JAVA in early 2003.

It's still available from many 3rd party websites.
