Microsoft Updates

I frequently find that, after installing MS Updates, both Internet Explorer
and Outlook Express fail to make a connection. I am using XP Home Edition,
with SP2. On each occadion, I have to use System Restore to return to an
earliier configuration, which means that I do not have the protection of the
updates. Can anyone please help?

After downloading and installing the Update, did you reboot?

IE and Outlook also need to be updated to perform properly. Go to the
below website for reinstalling them with updates.
