Microsofts latest updates, KB920813, KB925251 and KB929064 which appear to be
Frontpage updates will not install. Simply says fails with no further error
codes or messages.
Have tried downloading the files and installing, same result.
Even tried reinstalling FrontPage 2003 and now get a failure on this install
as well.
What happened?
Anyone have any suggestions.

Where are you seeing these FrontPage updates??
There are no individual FrontPage updates.
There are Office updates which include updates for FrontPage 2003.

Check for the latest Office 2003 updates and download and install them
They will upgrade only the office applications on your machine, including FP 2003.

Coming Soon: Function5 Auto Refresh

Before getting the updates run a repair of Office 2003 (from Control panel or Help Detect & repair in say Word)

I noticed in the updates that they indicated FrontPage 2003 in the Office
2003 update. So, I assumed they had something to do with FrontPage.
Apparently I was wrong.
The three updates failed to install via the Office update and I am
continuing to get the dreaded "yellow" icon in my system tray. I looked at
add/remove programs and the three updates now show as installed, but still
receiving the yellow icon. Have run the detect and repair already.
When I ran another update download one of them indicated it installed but
two updates still failed.
Will try again today. I have even downloaded the files to my computer so I
could install that way.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Don

I also have updates that will not install. They are:
Security Update for Office 2003 (KB920813)

Update for Excel 2003 (KB929058)

Security Update for Word 2003 (KB929057)

Update for Office 2003 (KB925251)

Update for PowerPoint 2003 (KB929060)

Security Update for Office 2003 (KB929064)

Update for Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter KB924885)

I also went the Microsoft.com and downloaded them and ran them and they
still failed. I have never had this problem before. With more than one of
us having identical problem, it seems like it may not be our fault.

I left a mail message for microsoft. They are suppose to get back to me in
a day.

As soon as I sent my last post I figured out the problem.
I tried to do a repair on Office and it said I had a problem and where to go
to find out how to fix it. As it ended up the office source engine had been
disabled (no idea of how or why) so I just enabled it and then ran the
updates and did great.

I also finally got them to install, but I must admit I really don't why
except I just continued to try.

I ran a repair on office and got an error. The error message told me to go
to C:\program files\Microsoft Office\Office11\1033\setup.chm and look for
“Office Source Engine†for more info on how to solve my problem. It said
that the Office Source Engine had either been stopped or deleted. To find
out: right click on My Computer. Select Manager. Click on Services and
Applications. Select Services Find Office Source Engine and enable the
service. Which I did. It had been disabled. I have no idea how or why.
