When I go to the Microsoft Update site and click 'Express' the following
message appears:
'Files required to use Microsoft Update are no longer registered or
installed on your computer. To continue:
Register or reinstall the files for me now (Recommended)'
I do not know why this message appears and if I click to reinstall the files
I get back to the Window where I choose either 'Express' (Recommended) or
'Custom'
Doesn't matter which I choose to click on the same message ['Files required
to use MS Update ........']
Appears to be a repetitive cycle from which I get nowhere.
I had initially set my system to 'Automatic Update' and this worked without
a hitch until recently and have had no auto updates since mid August
Platform: Windows XP Home Ed. incl.SP2
CPU Pentium P4 3.0GH
RAM: 1GB
I would appreciate any help that could be given
Thank you
