I get to the site and get as far as the "Download and
Install" progress window. Nothing happens. Download will
not start. Before you say "Mblaster worm", be advised
that I did have it, but I took all the appropriate steps
to remove it. However I suspect that my troubles began
after I applied the fix.
I have another issue that may or may not be related.
whenever I access what I believe is a page with java in
it, the page will open but have no content. In the url's
address bar I get "about.blank" as the url address. It's
not a java setting issue, as I have tweeked and changed
the security options in the browser's options function.
I've also tried to access these windows with firewall,
pop-up and anti-virus apps off, but no change in the end
results. Also, I tried to access pages that won't load in
IE 6 by using an alternative browser (Opera), and the
page loads fine. (But if I go to MS's update page, it
doesn't get past the first page: ie., checking for
updates.
So..I figure it's either a Java related problem
somehow..or something got changed during the mblaster
worm issue.. anyone have any ideas they would care to
share..please?
