Thanks for the reply all, but I cant access any of them. I guess I will
have to talk to our Network admin...

Hi Jeremy,
Maybe it is normal, but when I do a ping or a tracert on www.microsoft.com I
get everytime another IP number
When I try the reach the site with that IP than that is impossible.
I don't know if that is new or always was.
When I use such an IP adres, I can not reach www.microsoft.com

Maybe your DNS resolution is up the creek.

No, I don't think so. Our network guy said everything is fine, only MS is
causing us problems.

Anyone have a clue why the MS sites have been down for days?

http://hotmail.com
http://research.microsoft.com
www.msn.com

Does everyone have this problem or know why they're down?

I see from the replies that lots of people didn't have problems but I
couldn't get hotmail for hours last night. It is ok this morning, but
then again I'm not using roadrunner like I was last night. I didn't
try any Microsoft site except hotmail so I can't tell you about that.
But I did get on lots of other websites when hotmail wasn't working.

check your hosts. file and the server hosts. file... also, check the DNS
server setting...

Also, it really has nothing to do with VB.net... So, you might want to go
and ask in another group...

Ahhh... I am using RR too. However, the only sites I am having problems
with are MS sites (that I've seen), I wonder if RR is having some sort of
DNS problem.

True. I just knew people here use MSDN, and that I would get a good reply.

You can mark questions like this with "OT:" at the beginning of the subject.

If you are on a cable modem, the problem was with them. There were some

That's right. The Microsoft servers use load-balancing. Kind of cool, if you
ask me.
