Microsoft Shifting Adware Approach?

Alex Eckelberry should be commenting on why Counterspy
have now downgraded WhenU to ignore rather than Calling
MS for doing the same thing,

Adaware dropped all of WhenU's files from their database
and didnt tell anyone about it, They even removed it off
the TAC list saying it didnt make the 3 point TAC level
anymore so Its not just MS, Aluria Dropped WhenU last
Year when they teamed up with WhenU and Aluria said they
were Spyware safe but it still detects the free version
of Bearshare which is one of the host applications for
WhenU so its all very confusing.

For Claria MSAS detects more traces than any of the other
removers I tested except SpySweeper which was about the
same level (Over 5000 traces when I installed all of
Claria's programs)

Also It will not let you install Claria while real time
protection is enabled it keeps repeating the same red pop
ups and will not continue with the install untill you
disable real time protection .

Not doing bad for a beta test even with all these clowns
writing false stories, The users who take the time to
test things will see the stories are just nonsense but I
suppose they need to write something and its easier for
Alex Eckelberry to comment on MS downgrading than admit
they are following MS and now doing the same thing.

Well, Sunbelt and Axel Eckelberry explains it !

Hi Plun yeah Ive seen them link and read sunbelts blog in
the past, Its just to show the other removers are
involved in some way themselves

Ive noticed this afew times with Adaware by updating the
definition file the file sometimes gets smaller in size
which means less definitions but they never comment on
that

They are doing well though so I cannot call them but it
would be better if they let us users know what they
remove and the reasons behind it. I got another beta file
from Lavasoft yesterday that includes ClickSpring,
PurityScan,ErrorGuard,ClearSearch & Lop, these are
updated definitions rather than new ones but It's good to
see they are releasing updates 1 or 2 times a week so
they deserve credit for trying to keep up with the
scumware.

If MS could work out why the suspected spyware report
doesnt work for some user's incuding myself then we could
help them out abit more and forward files that they miss,

I do this all the time with Lavasoft so if they have
people all round the world doing the same it must help
them alot to keep up to date.

Ive noticed though when I clean malware files with MSAS
before it deletes some files it says sending to spynet
with some of them so it must work in some way but just
not for me using the spyware report page. Its all good
though Im sure they know what files they miss and are
working on adding them.
