Follow up set to microsoft.public.security. We just want to make sure this
information is well known in the security community. Thanks!

Hello!

The Microsoft Security Response Center investigates all reports of security
vulnerabilities sent to us that affect Microsoft products. If you believe
you have found a security vulnerability affecting a Microsoft product, we
would like to work with you to investigate it.

We are concerned that people might not know the best way to report security
vulnerabilities to Microsoft. You can contact the Microsoft Security
Response Center to report a vulnerability by emailing (e-mail address removed)
directly, or you can submit your report via our web-based vulnerability
reporting form located at:

https://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/alertus.aspx

Sincerely,

Microsoft Security Response Center

Jerry,

I'm sure you are required to read these postings (which
is a good thing). And hope that MicroSoft investigates
these occurrences of the continual rebooting. If you
have read my posting on May 19, you will see that none of
the virus programs caught whatever is affecting my
drive...and I keep them updated every day, and have all
service packs installed.

It would be nice if MS would give alternative solutions
when posting what to do when there is a virus/worm
threat...because reading the Removal Tools, etc. only
said ("this will not work with Windows 2000"....GREAT!
So what WILL work with Windows 2000??)

Just my frustrated 2-cents worth. Linux is looking better
every day!
