When in FP2002 and I open file go to Tools=> Macros, the
Micrsoft Script Editor is grayed out. How can I enable
it?

Thanks for information.

If it's unavailable (grayed out) and can't be used, it's one of two things:

1.. you must have a page open in the FrontPage Editor before you can run the Script Editor
2.. or, you need to read this Knowledgebase article - FP2000: The Microsoft Script Editor is Unavailable http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q229527

This option is only available when a Web page is open and
has the focus.

If this doesn't resolve the problem, it may be that
Script Editor isn't installed. If this seems to be the
case, click Start, Control Panel, Add Or Remove Programs,
Change Or Remove Programs, Microsoft Frontpage 2002,
Change. This will start FrontPage Setup.

Advance to the Features To Install Page, then open
Microsoft Office, Office Tools, HTML Source Editing, Web
Scripting. Click the drop-down arrow on this item and
then choose Run From My Computer.

Click Update and be ready to insert your FrontPage CD.

I have Frontpage 2000.
I go to Tools/Macro/Microsoft Script Editor
I get a window that says "It's not installed, do you want
to install now?"
Sure, so I click ok and it churns and then "Cannot
install, error 1635". Now I've looked that up and it is a
catch all. I sent the error to MS and no reply so far. I
then tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office 2000. It
can't do it! I click on Add/Remove Microsoft Office SR-1
Premium and get "This patch package could not be
opened ....
So I can't even uninstall office 2000. When I use the
ORIGINAL CD and run setup I get the SAME error as when I
try to uninstall via the add/remove programs.
So I can't seem to get around this. Someone suggested
Office XP won't have the problem, but I won't buy more
software if 2000 can't be uninstalled.
Help, please
