Microsoft Scanner & Camera Wizard not available

If I insert my Compact Flash card via USB to my pc I no longer get the
dialogue box asking what I want to do.
I can via explorer open the removeable storage disk and my photos are OK.
I want to open them via Microsoft Scanner & Camera Wizard
Tried resetting Auto Play options - Auto Play Repair and many other things
but no joy
I am usung Windows Pro XP (SP3)
It used tro work fine and still does on my laptop but not desk top pc
Please HELP

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight each USB Root Hub device,
Action menu, "Uninstall", (do Not put a check in 'delete driver") then
Action menu,"scan for hardware changes", to find the device drivers again
automatically.
