please tell me how to block pop ups from and to microsoft
internet explorer. we want them all blocked just liked i

Wll, you could turn off all active x controls but that would lead to a
rather boring Internet experience. There are a number of free utilities for
this such as PopUp Stopper: www.panicware.com. Note, if you have problems
entering some sites, try disabling this or whatever popup blocking software
you use as sometimes, this type of blocking software can also block your
navigation around or into a web site.

Download the new Google toolbar, it's free and stops all those popups.

Goto www.google.com, click on the Services and Tools, then click on the
Google Toolbar, near the bottom of the page.

This has worked wonders for me...

Just a word of caution. The Google toolbar tracks all of your online
browsing.

Go to http://www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/sbrowser.htm and download Slim
Browser (It's free). It is a tabbed interface for IE. Internet Explorer
is still the engine for your browser but Slim Browser runs on top of it.
It will definitely get rid of those pop ups for you. It will also let you
browse using tabbed pages, a very nifty way to browse if you've never done
it before.
