I just recently made all of my network users restricted
users on the desktop and laptop computers i have here at
work. Now when they try to use microsoft photo shop they
get an error saying invalid registry file this file is not
supported on all photo's whether it is a jpg or jpeg.
When i am logged on as myself an administrator i can use
photo editor to open the same files with no problem is
there some kind of permission setting i am missing or
something? Please help.

Hi James,

Photo Editor is "trying to access registry keys that require permissions that your
account does not have." The workaround is to give "Users" Full Control of this
registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools
