Nepatsfan said:First, close Paint if it is open.
Next, open the Registry Editor, Start -> Run -> regedit.exe, and navigate to the
following registry key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Paint\Recent
File List
In the right hand pane, right click the entries representing recently opened
image files and select Delete from the menu. They should be listed as File1,
File2, File3, and File4.
If you're looking for an automated way to delete these entries, you can use
CCleaner.
CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com/
Once the program is installed, launch CCleaner and uncheck any entries on the
Windows tab that you don't want deleted. Next, click on the Applications tab and
check MS Paint. Hit the Analyze button to see what will be deleted. Hit the Run
Cleaner button to remove the entries.
Note: I would advise against using the registry cleaner feature included with
this program.
Good luck
