Hello Group,
I got an OEM Version of Microsoft Office, Small Business Edition with a new
computer I
purchased 2 years ago.
I just bought a new computer and loaded all my software on it including the
OEM version of Office that came with my old machine.
I imported all my E-Mail into this copy of Office and deleted my e-mail .pst
files from my back-up hard drive.
After finding out that I would be unable to use this software package
(Office) on my new computer I bought a new version of Office on line to
install on my new computer and I left the OEM Version on my computer pending
the arrival of the new copy of Office.
Because I check my e-mail several times a day my OEM Version of Office went
into the reduced functionality mode, one of the functions removed was the
ability to import and export my e-mail files.
My question is, when I receive my new copy of Office will my e-mail files be
saved when I install the new copy of office on my computer and should I
install the new Office over the old OEM version? I have some important
e-mail I sure dont
want to loose.
Thank you for any advice you may offer.
