Microsoft Outlook using MSWord 2002 as email editor

I have installed MS Word 2002 on to a new computer
(replacing MS Word 2000) When I accessed MS Outlook 2000
and was asked if I wanted to use MSword as Editor I say
OK. Then I was told that Outlook 2000 could not
accommodate Word 2002. Is there anything I can do to
upgrade MS Outlook without having to pay for it?
 
No. Versions must match.
P.S. What does this have to do with fax?
