microsoft outlook express address book problem

I wanted to delete a few addresses in the address book
and I highlighted the ones on the screen and hit delete.
What happened is the entire list after the highlight was
deleted. My question is how can I retreive the addresses
that were deleted in error?
 
This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this to an
