I am trying to open Outlook to view my Emails, but as soon as it loads up the Oulook Logo it immeaditely closes down again. I have restored windows to a period that Outlook was working; I have reloaded Microsoft Office, but still the problem persists. Any help much welcomed as I have had to revert to Vista's Windows Mail and I do not find it very user friendly - Thanks

This newsgroup is not for Outlook issues. Repost your issue to the Outlook newsgroup
as per below

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlook.general

Meanwhile see the following

Try starting Outlook with the resetnavpane switch;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resetnavpane (note the space between exe and / )

For additional solutions see;
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesntstart.htm

So why post to a Vista Mail group when Outlook, whatever version you are
using with whatever types of accounts has its own groups

Hi, David.

Lloyd's message was actually posted to EggHeadCafe, who did a lousy job of
choosing which Microsoft public NG to relay it to. :>(

Lloyd, why not "cut out the middleman" and post your question directly to
the Microsoft public news server, which is free and does not require you to
log one? There are over 2,000 NGs available, so if I guess wrong about
which one would fit your situation, someone there should be able to direct
you further.

Hi, David.

I agree. I get tired of it, too.

But the OP was not the guilty party. Lloyd had a legitimate question and
posted it in what appeared to be an appropriate venue. And then the
EggHeadCafe software forwarded it to a inappropriate NG. So I hope that
Lloyd sees my suggestion (and Peter's) that he bypass the leeching website
and post directly to the newsgroup in the first place.

But I probably should have Replied to his post, not to yours.
