A few days ago, I noticed that a Microsoft Operations Framework file was
being written to the Temp directory in Windows 2000.
I have not run either Windows or Office update for several weeks, and other
than AV updates, I have not installed software recently, until after the
files started appearing.
Info on MOF can be found at
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/solutionaccelerators/cits/mo/mof/default.mspx.
The file contains:
/* File: OInfoP11.mof - Office Extension MOF File for MSInfo >= 5.0
And all the classes referenced in the file seem to pertain to Office 11
(2003).
What causes this file to be created?
How can I disable the creation of the file
being written to the Temp directory in Windows 2000.
