On start-up, a message came on apologizing for the inconveiece, but Windows
did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have
caused this (non was added of either) If your computer stopped responding,
restarted unexpectedcly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files
and folders, choose last known Good configuration to revert to the most
recent settings that worked.
If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or
because the Power or Rest button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what
caused the problem, choose start Windows Normally.
Three choices are: Safe mode
Safe mode with networking
Safe mode with Command Prompt and last knwn good configuration. Also Start
Windows Normally
The message continues to use the up and down arrow keys to move the
highlight to your choice. Then there is a counter counting seconds until
Windows starts.
The up and down arrows do not move any highlight. The computer continues to
boot up and ends up with the message I have posted above. Counts down to 0
and starts over. It continues to "loop" until the computer is turned off at
the switch never to enter the windows program.
We do not know how this happened or what to do to fix it. Your help would
be appreciated.
Thanks
