My daughter removed Microsoft Office from my computer on Oct. 11, I found out
from trying to "System Restore". I've tried to restore from different System
Checkpoints and none work. How can I get Microsoft Office back? It was
installed on my computer when I purchased it, so I don't have a CD.
Please help. Can not open any of my documents.

If it was installed on your computer by the vendor, the vendor should
have provided you with some method to reinstall it. Contact the vendor
for help.

The only way to get Office back onto your computer is to reinstall it.
(Or to restore a disk image, but if you had an image you wouldn't be
asking this question.)

It would probably be better if your daughter had a Limited User account,
which does not have permission to uninstall software.

For now, you can install Open Office 2.4.1..

www.openoffice.org

Without MS Office installation media, you don't have MS Office. Windows
Restore will only restore the Windows System. It will NOT bring back
programs which have been uninstalled..

Contact the computer manufacturer/vendor for the MS Office installation
CD/DVD..

You can't get it back without a CD. Contact your computer vendor, and
ask them how you can get the CD you need.

An alternative is to install a compatible Office suite instead of
Microsoft Office. You might want to try the free OpenOffice.

Even though the program was preinstalled on your computer, you should have
received several sets of cd's with the computer. One set is called system
recovery and teh other Application Recovery.
Boot, insert the Application Recovery CD, it should autorun, then follow the
instructions. If it doesn't autorun click on start, Run then browse for the
CD drive and click on setup.exe.

To at least view your documents, download (free) word viewer from Microsoft
Office site.
