microsoft office outlook

I don't know what I did wrong. every time I open microsoft office outlook it
ask me for my user name and password. I checked remember my password. I
cannot send or receive messages.

Why cannot you send/receive , what err msgs?
What version of OL, and if OL2k what mode?
