I am trying to use outlook on my laptop which is connected via wireless to my
desktop. In outlook on my laptop it tries to connect via LAN but there is no
LAN and I do not have the option "Never dial a connection" please help me
configure

How do you normally access the internet? Are you trying to use the other
computer's internet connection? If so, then you are using a wireless LAN.

then outlook should use the same connection - and having it set to LAN is
the correct connection type.
