I recently was given a computer with Win 2000, and Office 2003 basic loaded.
Because Office basic does not have Access or Powerpoint, I loaded them from
the Office 2000 Pro program disks that I had for my previous computer. My
intent was to only load the programs, and not the "Office" core. However it
seems that I have now two versions of Office competing with each other. When
I run Power Point the Office 2000 setup program wants to run, and I have to
"cancel" about three setup screens. As well, Office 2000 sometimes intrudes
on Outlook 2003, creating a program shutdown.
Should I remove any Office 2000 references using add-remove? Is there a way
to add just PowerPoint and Access without and of the Office 2000 overhead?

Nothing to do with "Windows Setup" - best to ask in an MS Office
newsgroup.
