I haven't seen any compatibility issues with Office.
There are occasional reports here--enough that it is clear there is some
specific problem on the machines involved--of a significant time
lag--seconds--in opening an office application--I believe when doing so by
double-clicking on, say, a Word document, for example.
I don't know any way to predict whether you might see this issue or not--if
you do, removing the beta will fix the problem.
